welcome to
appalachian conservation corps

ACC seeks individuals who are interested in fully committing to the program, who are willing to overcome any challenges, and who will take advantage of the opportunities, skills, and trainings that are offered throughout their term of service. We believe that you will make a great addition to our team!

Check out the tabs above for more info about what to expect on your crew or during your term - whether you're worried about how to pack a backpack, when you'll get paid, how to deal with your period in the woods, or where to get some good food when you're not in the field, we have answers for you!

Things to do before your first day

1. PAPER WORK

  • Complete all your paperwork on SilkRoad Onboarding. Check your spam folder in your email if you haven't gotten login information.
  • Don't forget to bring your ORIGINAL IDs on your first day (either social security card and passport OR social security card, birth certificate, and driver's license)!

2. PURCHASE GEAR (IF APPLICABLE)

  • Purchase all the gear that you need from the gear list (and let us know if you need loaner gear) and have it all packed and ready to go. You may want to test out your gear beforehand.
  • Break in your boots if they are new!
